The rotating LED circuit is really cool, I would love to build it for a school project! Is there a schematic available? Thank you, John

Alan,

Is there a way to defuse the light from a led. They have a tight focus... In hopes.. grin..

Hi Dave,

Yes there are many ways. The easiest is to scuff the head of the LED using some fine sand paper.

I would like to see the actual light that you would see once installed when you come down the stairs. Can you send me a picture of the staircase looking at the lights in front of you?
Thanks,
Donna

We recommend side lighting so that the LEDs are not shining directly in your face when it is operating.
Have a look at the videos on this page for an idea of how it will look.

Been a fan of Tesla and electronics for years. Good to see others that like to look deeper into things.

Actually the Tesla coils that have been featured on Hacked Gadgets have been created by others and simply featured there. Click on the links within the articles to go to the creators site.

Nice Project
I designed something similar but never got around to putting it together. Would you be interested in building a similar system that would also monitor ph, control heat, control main lighting ( MH/ CF), and also control a CO2 system. I have most of the desgin worked out I just couldn't find enough detail on the PH probes.

I don't have the time right now to take on a project like that but it does sound very interesting! Let me know if you make some headway on it. That would be great for http://hackedgadgets.com
